She may have been discussing her new sassy haircut, but "Heroes" actress Hayden Panettiere also gave away some "Heroes" news. Be prepared "Heroes" fans, there won't be just one Claire when the show returns. How about one good Claire, and one bad Claire. So now the show may go something like this: "Save the cheerleader, save the world," and then "Don't save the bad cheerleader, she's trying to destroy the world." Panettiere, who appeared at the Ford Flex Rally in L.A. this weekend, talked about her new short bob. The 18-year-old actress said that because she wears extensions, and one of the Claire's has dark hair, she was ready for a change. She said the new short bob is easy, she can just get up and go. Even though she spilled a little about "Heroes," she still wasn't talking with her relationship with "Heroes" co-star Milo Ventimiglia. By the way he has really nice hair also. [SOURCE]

Hayden finally attended a public event. It's been a while since we've really seen her out in the open! She attended the Kira Plastinina US Launch in Los Angeles, yesterday. And let me tell you: she looked beautiful in her black dress. I already have a few images of the event. But I will wait with adding them to the gallery until I've got some more. But don't worry I will have them soon. Kira Plastinina, a teenager labeled as the world’s youngest fashion designer. Kira is only 15-years-old but has conquered Russia and is now opening stores in the US. New York City will be home to the first Kira Plastinina store arriving in March with ten other stores slated to open in Manhattan and Los Angeles. A stylist for Glamour magazine weighed in on her clothing. I think it is great of Hayden to support this young talent!

Could Hayden Panettiere and Stephen Colbert bring the 'Smurfs' movie to life? USA Today thinks so! The vulnerable entertainment paper has created a fantasy breakdown pairing Smurf favorites with Hollywood stars! An '80s Saturday morning classic, the Smurfs have actually been around since 1958, known as Les Schtroumpfs by Belgian cartoonist PEYO. Now they're set to star in a big screen adventure. Sony studios is currently developing a live-action/animation feature based on the little blue creatures. [SOURCE]

The 18-year-old ‘Heroes’ star admitted to “experimenting” with her female friends when she was growing up. She said: “It’s great to be single. It’s great to have boyfriends. Or girlfriends. There are occasions when you kiss your best friend growing up, having fun and goofing about. Like perfecting your technique.” Hayden – who is rumoured to be dating her ‘Heroes’ co-star Milo Ventimiglia – refused to talk about her love life. She said: “People are more interested in who celebrities are dating than the events going in the world. I’m not shallow. And I’m not sharing.” The actress also revealed she doesn’t care about paparazzi attention, and prefers to concentrate on her career. She added to Britain’s Glamour magazine: “I think there are some people who like that sort of attention more than others. I used to walk my dogs in my pajamas and couldn’t have cared less, but you become paranoid and you get worried.” [SOURCE]

As part of the latest deal linking its teen clothing line to a young female music act, fashion brand Candie's will help promote the song "Wake Up Call" from "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere's forthcoming album from Hollywood Records. The ad campaign will begin at the end of July, while the song will be released digitally Aug. 5. "Wake Up Call" will appear on Panettiere's still-untitled debut album, which is slated for 2009. Candie's announced an advertising and marketing pact with Panettiere in February. The brand's incorporation of her music into the campaign follows in the footsteps of its deal last summer with Interscope and Fergie, whose songs "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Glamorous" were promoted in Candie's TV commercials. While best-known to audiences as world-saving cheerleader Claire Bennet on NBC's "Heroes," Panettiere's record deal with Hollywood precedes her prime-time success from the past two years, according to Hollywood Records senior VP of marketing Ken Bunt. "We had to work within her crazy schedule to determine what direction she wants to go with her music," Bunt says. "Wake Up Call" is a reggae-flavored pop song that was written by Andreas "Quiz" Romdhane and Josef Larossi, who have previously written tracks for Geri Halliwell, Diana Ross, Il Divo and Westlife. The Heroes star is going to auction off two items on eBay to help raise money for her favourite charity, SaveTheWhalesAgain.com. Hayden is encouraging everyone to bid on her eBay items, which will go up online this afternoon (AEST) end of May 30th. One item is a pair of tickets to a fundraising dinner to be held at Eva Longoria's restaurant, Beso. It will also include a personal photo op with Hayden. The second item is a private whale watching tour off the coast of Santa Barbara, again with Hayden alongside. Hayden recently said, "So go the oceans, so goes life on Earth. Please join us in our fight to save these beautiful creatures, and preserve the quality of life in this world for our children, and generations to come!" As for her mission, she says, "My mission is to end whaling worldwide, while raising public awareness to all the other threats dolphins and whales face including toxic pollution, noise pollution, global warming, loss of habitat, entanglement in fishing nets and potential extinction… Raise your voice; it's time to Save the Whales ... AGAIN!" [SOURCE]

"Heroes" actress Hayden Panettiere has urged the media to allow troubled Britney Spears the space she needs "to heal." The star has accused the hordes of snappers who constantly pursue Spears of ruining the pop star's life, likening their behavior to that of an obsessed "stalker." And the actress believes the photographers' behavior is dangerous and says Spears' recent string of car collisions is down to them taking high risks to ensure they get lucrative snaps of the star. She says, "I love acting more than anything else in the world, so I can't see myself stopping. But I think this situation is becoming so dangerous -- it causes car accidents. "There's no differences between what they do and stalking somebody. Look at somebody like Britney Spears, who deals with 50 cars following her all the time. Nobody gives her room to heal." And Panettiere is devastated the singer has fallen out of favor with music fans, because she was her idol growing up. She adds, "To me growing up, she was everything, and we built her up and ripped her down." [SOURCE]

Yeah, yeah, we know. By saving the cheerleader, we can save the world. But the world may need to save Hayden Panettiere from possibly believing she really is the indestructible rah-rah girl she portrays on the boob tube. In the June issue of Teen Vogue, the Heroes heroine chats about the tabloids and how evasive they can be when it comes to her personal life. "Nothing is private," she says. "And when they write about you, it's almost completely false." Of course, when pressed if she's referring to stories about her rumored romance with costar Milo Ventimiglia, the tiny TV titan insists: "I'll not comment until the day I die!" Um, Hayden, despite what your alter ego Claire is capable of doing, from what we hear, voicing the truth after you've passed on tends to be a wee bit difficult. Hayden Panettiere is the hottest TV star on the planet right now – all thanks to her role as the indestructible cheerleader Claire Bennet in the sci-fi show Heroes.
But hers is no overnight success story. Aged just 18, she is already what you might call a showbiz veteran, with close to 50 credits to her name.
Born in Palisades, New York, the daughter of a fire-brigade lieutenant and an ex-soap actress, Panettiere began modelling as a baby and made her first TV commercial at 11 months.
By five, she was a regular in a US soap opera. She made her Hollywood breakthrough in 1998 as the voice of Princess Dot in A Bug's Life.
"I'm a lesbian… apparently. The papers link me to everyone I stand next to – even celebrity women. I don't mind. You want to make me a lesbian? That's fine with me. If I'm going to be linked to someone, I could do a love affair with Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba or Charlize Theron, and – oh gosh, there are so many beautiful girls – Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous."
"Yes, I was arrested – but I'll stand up for what I believe in, even if it means getting on the wrong side of the law. I joined a protest in Japan to stop dolphins being slaughtered. Someone had to do something. I'll continue being involved until the problem goes away. A lot of people in the world say they're involved but never do anything. "

If you really want to impress your gym buddies, try turning up to your yoga class with a celebrity-designed yoga mat bag. Starting Monday, 20 celebrity-designed one-of-a-kind bags will be available on eBay to raise money to help breast cancer sufferers in time for Mother's Day. Celebrities including Leah Remini, Susan Sarandon, Hayden Panettiere and Miley Cyrus teamed up with Swarovski to each design a glam, crystal-encrusted gym tote. Bidding will last through May 15 with proceeds going directly to the Libby Ross Breast Cancer Foundation. The foundation is also running a sunrise yoga class at the Top of The Rock Observation Deck at Rockerfeller Center on Thursday for 40 mothers and daughters whose lives have been touched by the disease. "It's such a specialized class," says organizer Lori Ross who partnered with the OM Yoga Center. "The yoga instructor is a breast cancer survivor, so she understands each woman's recovery needs." And for those who can't make the Top of The Rock class, The Libby Ross foundation offers free yoga classes for breast cancer survivors every Tuesday at the Om Yoga Center in Union Square. [SOURCE]

On the Vancouver set of her new comedy film "I Love You Beth Cooper", Hayden Panettiere, all glammed up for a party scene in a hot, curve-hugging strapless dress, put on a parka, braved a cold Vancouver rainstorm at North Shore studios to run across the lot and give us this little tidbit on the new "Heroes" season. "I'm very excited to get back to "Heroes" in May and see all my castmates. Oh my Gosh! I just read the first episode. It is phenomenal. It is so good. I think it's better than the pilot of the first season. It's back to that action. It's action, action, action. It's crazy. I can't say that much about it but it's really exciting. The first episode is packed with cliff hangers and cool stuff! You read it and you go, 'they've figured out how to do it! They've figured out how to go back to the first season to make it even more exciting and entertaining. They've learned the concoction to make it great!" [SOURCE]
