Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) may be looking to expand her horizons beyond acting. Word is she is pitching a TV college drama around town that focuses on a female athlete who plays tennis. Though Panettiere is not looking to star, her timing is good: It has been a while since one of the broadcast networks aired a college-based drama that was worth watching (we miss you, Felicity, but not you, The Bedford Diaries). Panettiere, who is expected to return for another season of Heroes in the fall, is set to costar in the movie I Love You, Beth Cooper this summer. [SOURCE]

Hayden attended another inaugural party in D.C. yesterday. Jessica Alba was also among the many celebrity guests. They were both big supporters of Barack Obama in the recent Presidential Election, and last night (January 18) Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere were all about celebrating the upcoming Inauguration. The “Good Luck Chuck” babe and her “Heroes” partner-in-crime were both spotted at the Declare Yourself event in Washington DC, posing for the paparazzi and having a marvelous time. [1]Heroes star Hayden Panettiere said she doesn't envy Obama's situation: "I think he's got a lot on his plate. We can only root for him and do our best to help him. It's not only up to him to generate change, but it's up to us to help him." [2]x55 Declare Yourself's "A New Birth Of Citizenship" Inaugural Party

Good looking, toned and talented - Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia looked every inch the superhero couple as they walked hand in hand along the beach. The pair, who both star in the science fiction drama Heroes, are enjoying a romantic break on the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. Despite dating for more than a year, it is rare for the couple to be spotted together in public. It emerged the pair, who have a 12-year age gap between them, were dating in January last year. Rumours first circulated when they were seen smooching at an Emmys party in September 2007 and by the end of the year they were regularly seen out together at showbiz events. Milo, 31, had previously denied rumours when asked about reports of a possible romance with the 18-year-old actress. He said: 'She and I are close friends. It's only natural that people are going to couple us together.' The couple met on the set of superhero drama Heroes and they enjoy a close relationship on as well as off screen. Hayden plays the character Claire Bennet who has the ability to regenerate, while Milo plays her uncle Peter Petrelli, who is able to take on other characters' superpowers. [SOURCE]

Hayden's new movie "The Good Student" has just been released on DVD. I must admit I was not prepared for this. I actually had never heard of the movie before I saw it on Amazon. I wasn't able to find a lot of information on the movie. So I will tell you a bit about it. Hayden plays the cheerleader (really!) Ally Palmer. The movie focuses on her history teacher, played by Tim Daly, who has a crush on her. One day after he gave her a ride home Ally is kidnapped from her home. The search efforts begin. After her teacher and her father offer a reward for Ally's safe return, she is released by her kidnapper. The movie is a little strange but also very sweet. So make sure to add this to your Christmas wishlist (you still got some time). Happy holidays everybody. x001 "The Good Student" DVD Coverx424 "The Good Student" Screen Captures

Lots of screen captures of last night's Heroes episode "Dual" have been added to the gallery. "Dual" marked the end of the Villains volume. The new volume Fugitives will premiere early next year. x217 "3x13 - Dual"

Here's a look at what's to come. ( From eonline.com) "Yes, Sylar's healing power was deactivated, and yes he was in the exploding building when Meredith went kablooey, but no, he ain't dead. He'll emerge from the rubble and set off on a quest to find his powers. And Angela told the truth (believe it or not) when she said he was decidedly not the product of a humble watchmaker and a woman who collected snow globes."

There was a slew of Emmy presenters announced Thursday, including Hayden Panettiere (the cheerleader on Heroes), who's had a busy month with the fight between her parents two weeks ago that led to the arrest of her father. The list of newly announced presenters include: America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Laurence Fishburne (soon to take over for Gil Grissom on CSI), Jennifer Love Hewitt, William Petersen (whom Fishburne is replacing on CSI) and Vanessa Williams (who also is on Ugly Betty). These stars add to an already impressive list of Emmy presenters, which includes: Marcia Cross, Dana Delany, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker, Nicollette Sheridan, Hugh Laurie, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The awards will air on Sept. 21 on FOX. [SOURCE]

Stars like Orlando Bloom, Kate Walsh, Ali Larter, Hayden Panettiere, Lucy Liu, Aaron Eckhart and Hilary Swank showed up for the swanky affair, which took place at a sprawling Bel-Air estate owned by a South African family that apparently makes its money in the fashion biz. Christina Aguilera performed. So why did these celebs come out for Mr. Trump and his Dubai dreams? No one will actually confirm on the record, but one well-informed partygoer told me that many are not only offered cash, but also luxurious trips to the Middle East. x202 Trump Tower Dubai Introduction Ceremony

Last November, the Heroes star joined animal rights activists in a protest against the slaughtering of dolphins in the historic whaling town of Taiji, Japan prompting local authorities to issue a warrant for her arrest.
But Japanese Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura has personally welcomed the actress back to the country, telling her she has nothing to fear.
"I think they did it (issue an arrest warrant) to pretty much scare us from coming back." "I went and had a meeting with the Foreign Minister and he said I was welcome anytime. Very kind man. Very welcoming, and he said I was his most welcome guest, so there's a shocker." "The culture is such that it's one of the kindest, most polite, most welcoming cultures you can ever run across."

Hayden hosted the Whaleman Foundation Benefit to save the whales at Eva Longoria's Hollywood restaurant yesterday. She was joined by "Heroes" co-stars Dania Ramirez, Jack Coleman and Milo Ventimiglia as well as her little brother Jansen Panettiere. In May Hayden auctioned of herself as a date for the benefit. She'll also take the lucky winner on a whale-watching expedition through California's Channel Islands. x139 Whaleman Foundation Benefit
